Something went wrong when i updated my R4 to DS

Hello
I will try to express myself as good as i can.
When i updated my r4 software it seems to be some sort of error.
I've done this before, and then everything has gone smooth. I tried to update it to 1,18, but after i've done that it comes up a text in chinese that i can't understand. But clearly something is wrong. After that i tried to update it to earlier updates, such as 1,16 and 1,17 and even 1,15.
Nothing worked, the same text s still there. I read in some forums that i should try to update to the chinese version, i did that and it still does'nt work.
Please help me, I am desperate

Addl. information required:

1)What language is your R4?

2)Are you sure that you tried to upgrade with the firmware appropriate for your R4's language?

It's in chinese. But i have updated it in english earlier with no problems.
But i tried to update it in chinese too now, but it still does'nt work.
I updated it on http://www.r4ds.com/index-en.htm

Well, first, why would you put a chinese version if you don't know any? Second. the text might read, AFAIK:
SD/TF card error,
corrupt DS_MENU.DAT or something of that sort,
and No SD/TF card found.
The first one is if you put in a card that's lower that 1gb, second one can be fixed by replacing the data files, and the third is self-explanatory. Still, I would recommend installing 1.18 in English. I know nothing about downgrades.
