What format is the video.
Is it an avi.
Are you getting the error when converting to DVD format with Nero Vision.

It is an .avi file. The error comes up when I drag and drop the file into nero to burn.

either dropping it in the wrong place and/or software of nero

or you dont have xvid or divx codec installed

See which codec the file uses, by dragging it onto 'GSpot' - and look to see if it's installed on your PC.

This example, you see the video uses the DivX codec and the Status line says that it's installed.

This link is for the XviD codec, which is functionally equivalent to DivX.
