nero 8 installation error

Im trying to install nero 8.3.2.1; i have used the nero clean tools; but i get an error during installation that reads cannot create the directory: c:\programfiles\nero\nero8\adobe any assistance here would be greatly appreciated..... os= win xp sp2

does this directory already exist? uninstall adobe then install nero

i uninstalled adobe; reran clean tools and still I get the same error. I am still completely stumped. Older versions of the software install with ease. Thank you for your response. was appreciated.

yah it is wierd did you reboot after uninstall of adobe then load nero? could of still had .DLL loaded to system maybe?

did you try manually deleting this adobe folder before nero install? (if it was still there)

whats in that folder its to do with nero digital "ADOBE PREMIERE" .pdf and a .DLL

what adobe app did you uninstall? acrobat or premiere? could be others too?

side note: did you have any other versions of nero loaded to your pc like v6 or v7? if so did you run the clean tools for those before v8?

hmmm? i wonder if theres a clean tool for adobe products??

if it were me as a last resort i would unistall nero with clean tools and all adobe apps, then got to regedit and delete all instances of both nero and adobe and try again.

hey: adobe acrobat v8 (newest); previously had nero 7 ultimate; have used the clean tools several times with restarts---physically deleted adobe and nero files that lingered and went through the registry and removed those entries. I have looked all over the net for a possible answer but it seems as though i am the only one with this issue. sent email to nero supp--hopefully they can answer questions. older version of nero installs perfectly. still stumped. LOL
