I'm a newby and I find it hard to edit a wav file when it is silent! The same wav file plays fine with Nero media player, Windows media player and Sonic Stage so I don't think the problem is with my speakers. Also, I get no sound when editing in Nero recode but the DVDs I create have sound. I updated my Nero 8.2 over the web but that didn't help. When I look at the Plug-Ins - DirectX Settings in the wave editor, the Nero Sound Processor, Sound Swithcher, WMT Volume, WMT AudioAnalyzer are all disabled. Is this my problem? If so, how do I enable them?

I run Vista Home Premium, 32 and have DirectX 10 (whatever that is) and the DirectX Diagnostic Tool finds no problems with Display, Sound 1,2, or 3, or Input. Help. What can I do?
