Convert the AVI to DVD format.
Using the likes of 'IMGBurn' (or Nero Burning ROM), add the 'VIDEO_TS' folder then as space permits the other files.
The movie will play in the standalone and the PC will utilize all of the files.

I don't have Nero installed at the moment - this is from memory.

Boot Nero Burning Rom and on the 'Wizard' screen select 'DVD-Video' then 'New'.

The Wizard clears and the screen is divided into two parts.

On the right side, file-browser panel, open the folder containing the video files.

Select all of the files in the folder and drag them to the left panel and drop them in the open 'VIDEO_TS' folder.

Select data files or folders from the right panel as required and drop them on the left panel.
