usually you should ask questions before you buy but you can still change orders on newegg before a certain time. the only problem i see is the mobo. nvidia chipsets have not worked very well with the new 45nm cpu's. you would have been better off getting this

Alls good except the graphics card, its got the same chip as the 8800GT but is slower, i think its designed for more design orientated stuff like CAD.... not really for gaming

I plan on playing games with it mostly but not any real high end ones. At least not at the moment. I'd like to keep the price tag under $700 and the parts picked out seemed to do what I needed them too but will they work together? Or did I mess up picking them out?

Thank you. The Mobo does look much better. I was hoping for something that supported AMD but Intel is great too.

I have a question about the power supply and the hard drive though. The
Hard Drive has less memory space than Hard Drive so which is better and why? And the Corsair power supply only generates 450w whereas the LOGISYS generates 550 and the one that comes with my computer case (the only part of this computer I actually have because I bought it two years ago for the flashing dragon on the cover)comes with a 480 Watt power supply. Am I looking at the wrong stats on these parts? Should I just stick with the power supply that came with my case and not bother about getting a new one?

The logisys one will probably provide 200 watts and then blow up. Go with the corsair. Trust me.

Excuse me? Corsair is not bad. It's the other units you mentioned that are bad. Corsair PSUs are excellent.

Nick's already covered that ground. All we can do now is wait for a response from the OP.

Thanks guys. I opted to go with the original hard drive I picked out and since it was 'free' I stayed with the power supply that came with my case. I figure I can always buy the suggested one if that one fails. Other than that I went with krj's suggestions. I'll let you know how it turns out after I put it together this weekend. Thanks again guys. ^_^

do not use that psu. if it fails it can take the whle computer with it. always go with a high quality psu. also the one you chose has the bare minimum of 25 amps on 12v rail which might not be enough for the 8800gt.

No offense, but that's a VERY bad idea. If the one you have 'fails' it will take the rest of your components with it - suddenly that replacement unit is much more expensive. Additionally, cheap PSUs can also catch fire. You might think this is a scare story, not so, it's happened to more than one member here, myself included.

Uh, sorry guys I think I wasn't clear about the situation with the psu. I have three options (including the one krj gave me) and the one that came with the case is not the one I listed originally or even at all on this board, mostly because I haven't really looked at it yet. The one that comes with the case I have no idea what the specifics of that one are other than that it generates 480w. I'll did the case out of the attic tomorrow before work and post the stats up here.
