Has anybody put two dvd movies on one disk Ive used dvd shrink to get them small enough but i cant find a program that will have like a menu where i can show them both on a main window and be able to select one for play.I found one guide it uses tmpgenc dvd author but it merges the two into one then you have to chapter forward to the next movie.Ive got roxio 6 dvd builder and it lets you make a main menu but when i use it it makes the disc over 6gigs which i dont understand because the two of them only add up to 4.21gb!! if anybodys has done this please advice Thx

Hiya slmh,

You were on the right track with TMPGEnc DVD Author, it will do what you want, here's how:

Follow this guide:
http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/tmpgenc_dvd_author.htm

When you get to Step 2, add the first film as per the guide.

After it is in, and you want to add the second film, do the following:
With Source Setup selected
You will see in the left-hand pane the phrase "Add new track" IN BLUE, click on that.
Add your second film as normal.

Carry on through the guide.
When you get to Step 4, read the "Note:" immediately under the first screenshot for step 4, it explains how to set up the menu for the way you want it to work.

Carry on and complete the steps from the Guide.

There you go....

Life is just more of the same:

I was having the same problem as slmh1296 with dvd shrink. I will try to get that software mentioned and will try as soon as I get home. But can someone tell me is there a way to actually do this with dvd shrink? I use dvd shrink and Nero 6 and have burned hundreds of movies that look almost better than the origional. Im just an old dog trying to keep my old bones.

My Specs:
W Mellinium
120gb HD
512Mb DDr
pioneer 106d
samsung 12x dvd
I use that to copy two movies at a time.

Good info, I must give it a go.

But, I decided to make a duo DVD (one with two Movies)
Using DVDshrink I shrank two movies (movies only) to approx 2Gb each.
I played them on the PC and the quality was blocky.
Suggestions as to how to keep the good quality so that it's watchable on the TV?
I know its possible as i've seen a duo DVD before, thats where i got the name, and the picture quality was excellent for both movies.

I copied a two disk movie using "TMPGEnc DVD Author". I can see how two totaly different movies can be on the same disk. This thing only seems to copy just the movie. I want to Burn (example: Two Towers) one movie that comes with a two disk set. One is the movie and one is the deleted scenes. I want to convert both of these disk to a DvD-r disk. If Im overlooking anything in the guide please help.......
