Is there an affordable CD recorder available that will record directly to a disc in Mp3 format? I need something that will replace a cassette deck. A standard CD recorder recording time of 80 minutes isn't long enough.

Are you asking for a burning program to burn mp3 CD's or a recording program to record audio to a mp3 file?

Actually I'm looking for a component hardware device (like a DVD recorder) that will burn audio to to a disc in mp3 format.
