Use a serious app if you want serious results. Nero has been garbage for many years. Try something like image burn.

What are you trying to play, with what, made with what? Either your player is screwed up or the audio file is screwed up. I figured that much you know. No one is going to try to guess what of the hundresd of players you are using to and the make and what made your audio file.

i use itunes to play my music files but the problem is not with the player or the files its with the computer. whenever there is sound it skips as in when logging on to windows or when someone connects to messenger or even whenever i play anything even video the sound skips. if there is anyway to fix it other then reformating it would really help me out.

Now I understand the probelm. It is the computer. It doesn't skip, it stops playing for a moment because some other application started using CPU time. That is a natural conciquence with applications that can interfear with a process. You can try buying a faster computer with more memory or not using instant messager or playing the music on somethiong else.

Yeah, you need to use something other than nero. It works sometimes, but not all the times. Try the image burn. it was suggested by someone else.

It is doubtful that you have 100 GB of RAM you probably have a 100 GB hard disk. If it worked OK before you fooled around with Nero you probably did something wrong in that process. I can tell you this it is unlikly anyone will figure out what you did when you either uninstalled or installed Nero. Maybe you removed a DLL you shouldn't have or added a DLL you shouldn't have. I bet my friend that makes $140/hr couldn't figure out what you did. He wouldn't even try, he would just reinstall windows and all your software. Then he would uninstall then install Nero himself. Chances are it would run right after that. It is probably a version missmatch with a DLL. I suspect the damage was done on the re-install. You could try posting this problem on 'build your own computer' forum. They might be able to help you better than audio. Your problem is not really an audio problem.

I just noticed that this is the first post that I have become a senior member. I have been wondering when that was to occur actually for the last few years. I can remember when I became a Junnior member they had just stopped updating Shrink so many years ago.

the weird thing is it never happened to me before, one day it was working and the next it was all weird (im talking about nero). i didnt touch anything, never messed with the settings and the sound problem occurred before i uninstalled nero. the proccess bar was just stuck at 0% so i closed the program using task manager via processes (cancelling the burn didnt work nor closing it through applications in task manager) maybe thats what coused the problem, i dont know. i did get this message saying something about the hardware/software not being installed correctly or have some kind of problem i cant remember but it showed up only once. i think i uninstalled nero afer that though. and as for the memory i have 100GB hard disk not RAM.
thanks for the help though.

I will tell you music usually pauses on my computer when something else kicks in. I have an old computer that is over worked. I am not saying you should expect this especially if it never happened before a certain event. The 'lets build a computer' forum has more of the expertise you would need to solve your problem.
