MOBO= GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L
RAM= 2x G.SKILL 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
Fan= Freezer 7 Pro
Case= Nzxt Apollo Gaming Tower Case
Video card= Radeon HD 3870 512MB or nVidia 8800GT 512mb
Sound card= (Optional) Creative Sound Blaster SB0570
PSU= CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX ATX12V

i plan on getting something like this soon. but im wondering if i should wait alittle longer, because i think the new ATI 4800's are comming out right? and should i wait till the price of the 3870's get lower? or should i just get the 8800 now? will there be anything else new comming out this summer?

also, just wondering. if i get that for my pc, would it all fit together? im not really sure how to check if the motherboard and such would fit in the case.

Yeah wait until the HD4850 comes out and get one of those - it'll be miles better than either the 3870 or 8800GT.

Your plan with the Q6600 is sound.

That's almost guaranteed - the HD4850 should be better than the 8800GTS, let alone the 4870. If preliminary results are correct, the HD4850 should be around the level of the 8800 Ultra, the HD4870 should be faster still. However, only the HD4850 will be available shortly - you may have to wait another month or two for the 4870.

you should not have any problem fitting it all in your case.
