I attempted to sign up at TB. I filled out their pain-in-the-ass reg form numerous times since it was such a picky bastard, and after finally getting it right it just turns around and says 'You haven't read the rules!'. I have read the rules! I did everything right! Agh!

Seriously though is it invite only and it just messes with people who try to sign up without one?

It's private and invite only right now, here's what I get: Sorry The current user account limit (65,000) has been reached. Inactive accounts are pruned all the time, please check back again later (no hammering)...

Yeah I always get that, though last night it appeared to be letting me sign up, it gave me a reg form but all I copped was what I wrote above.

I've still got some pretty good priv trackers though - managed to get into pisexy last night, and have had access to torrentleech, torrentdamage and bitsoup for a few years now (tl and td are fantastic, the only prob with bitsoup are the download speeds).

Demonoid is OK too, scored an invite to them couple years ago, glad I did too, sounds like it's pretty hard to get into these days.

The only site I'm really missing out on and want membership at is scenetorrents, although from an hour googling it seems that torrentleech is the best out of all of them (except newsgroups of course, but they cost).
