With an intel chip, and a good motherboard like that one, yes it is.
Remember, if you buy an Ultra-120 extreme you need to get a 120mm fan separately. I recommend the Scythe SFF21F.

Yup what he said.

Your motherboard will make it very simple to OC. You don't need to get to much into it, basic knowledge will enable you to get most of the PC anyway. Once you get it stable, just leave it at that.

You can at least make 3.4Ghz.

ok, i am going to build this (what you have all incorporated into the thread) but i just need verification that all parts and everything works with each other and that the motherboard PCU socket doesn't need and adapter to mount the Thermalright 120-extreme. Until then, im going to see where i can find the cheapest parts.. (anyone have good ideas to buy these parts cheap in Canada?). Thanks guys.

The X48-DS4? Not heard of that myself, I use the very similar X38-DS4 which has no problem with all four sticks of memory being filled and all S-ATA ports in use.

The X48-DS4 and the X38-DS4 are pretty much the same. The X48 is rated for higher speeds.

Yes, but Newegg won't sell Thermalright products (ignore that it's out of stock, it has been since 2006, it will never be sold there) - use NCIXUS.
