I cleaned up my registry (Windows XP home) and now I get a message that the "administrator has prohibited access to USB storage devices and CD Rom Devices". Can any one help?

Have you tried a system restore point that predates the problem.

Start- All Programs- Accessories- System Tools- System Restore.

I tried system restore before I posted my message. I tried it again after I received your response, but I still get the message "administrator has prohibited access to USB/1394 Mass storage drives and CD/ROM drives".
