Hey sorry to be a pain but hve tryed every thing from formatting updateing video card and dont no what else to think off.

Basicly i have a p4 3.00ghz ant used it for a while

anyway i recentley tred to play call off duty 4 on it sometimes it gets to halfway through the training mission ad frezes thewhole computer sometime it crashes as mision loads no error message.

Crysis runs for about 10 miniutes to round the 2nd or 3rd checkpoint it also locks up computer no error message or anything and forces restart.

windows xp sp2
radeon 9800 pro
1500 ram
ac97 on board audio

please help its annoying me

it's probably the 9800pro overheating. crysis is very demanding, and will work the card. you can try to replace the 9800pro with a new agp card to squeeze the last of the system, but a complete build is recommended if you want to play recent games well.

The 9800 Pro is just too old for Crysis, it will never run properly. COD4 shouldn't be quite so bad, but will still run badly as the card is ancient.

Yep I agree. A complete freeze where it looks as if you are just viewing a screenshot of the game is usually down to the graphics card being faulty or overheating.
