Q and A

Why this tutorial: I decided to purchase a movie player to play GBC games that I legally own. Actually only one game which i know sounds stupid but i really like super mario deluxe. it is the only GBC game that i have and love to play but my GBC took ill and now i cannot play the game.

But the Ds doesn't support the GBC: right this is why you need the movie player.

Are there any known issues: Yes certain japanese games if you have imported any of them don't run very well or display garbled text this is not a issue with the ds just with the game itself.

Tutorial:

What you need:

1. a Nintendo Ds or Ds Lite

2. a GBA movie player Sd or Cf edition (do not use pink GBA player doesn't work)

3. The hacked version of goomba. (and no i will not tell you where to find this you have to look for it yourself.)

What is Goomba ??

Goomba is a GBA Emulator for GBA (I know this sounds weird) The Unhacked Version only plays GBA games where the hacked version which someone compiled from there open source code run's all GBA GBC GB GAMES.

So go and find goomba hacked and like i said no i will not tell you where to get it.

STEP1:

Go to your Gba movie players web page and download the latest firmware from there site.

STEP2:

Format your sd card in fat or if your GBA movie player supports it fat 32.

STEP3:

Unzip your firmware update and copy the firmware file only no folders directly to your sd card.

STEP4:

Run the GBA movie player after copying the latest firmware (make sure you are pluged in the firmware update will auto load and update the GBA movie player to the latest version.

STEP5:
Copy all the files out of the goomba hacked zip into the sd card no folders directly on the sd card.

STEP6:

Remove the firmware file off of the sd card.

STEP7:

Create these folders on your sd card

Games

Backups

Gamesave

Books

Music

Movies

STEP8:

Copy your GBA homebrew or what ever you are going to run to your games folder

STEP9:

Once completed load up your ds with the GBA movie player and the icon that says games select it from the menu and select games and select the file you want to run.

STEP10:

Enjoy!!!!

Known problems:

Certain japanese titles have issues running dont know if it is because of the game or the emu.

The cartridge doesn't appear on my ds turn off the ds and then plug in the cartridge and then turn on the ds
