I have cable modem and I am only getting slow downloads. I should be able to get up to 100k at least but the max is 20k, and must of the time I get like 7k. I heard something about configuring your firewall or router, but I dont know how to do that. So someone tell me how to do that or get faster downloads please!!!

forward the ports 6881-6889(or open if u have a firewall)

so how exactly do you forward ports. I am on windows xp in case that is relevant info needed.

Just turn the firewall from your modem off and use a regular software-firewall.
