Okay here is my problem, and its been frustrating me ever since it started happening. whenever I play Armed Assault at the monitors native resolution of 1680 by 1050 the top of the picture is not reaching the top of the monitor. so it leaves this really annoying blank area between the game and the top of the monitor. I know LCD monitors have an auto adjust but for some reason the it keeps doing that. Is there any way I can manually adjust the V and H positions of this sceptre monitor? It says on the specs that it can, but whenever I try to go to the option menu on the monitor that's supposed to adjust the V/H position, it skips right over it. Anyone have any idea how i can fix this problem? I know the pixels arent dead, since it only does it for some of my videogames, and regular net surfing is just fine.

Some games are just like that. Assassins Creed is letterboxed on a regular monitor, and it still has the black bars on my Widescreen. I think this may be something the programmers did intentionally to give the game a more cinematic feel. But maybe it's different with Armed Assault???

If you use DVI rather than VGA, screen adjustments are disabled on most monitors, because they're not needed, the picture is always centered and expanded. If there's black bars, the game put them there.
