Pull the sound card...to eliminate it...as a possible source...
Recheck all your connections...especially the case wiring...re-seat the video card...make sure the P/S switch on the back...is in the On Position...then try it again...:)

If anything lit up, the PSU's switched on.
dav - you say nothing happens when you press the power button, do the fans not even twitch? If nothing happens at all you may have the power switch incorrectly wired.

In he case no activity

Can you try it in the case with the power switch connected as per the manual?

I HAVE IT LIKE THAT NOW AND MADE SURE ALL CON'S ARE OK.
WHEN POWER IS PUT ON NO SURGE OF ACTIVETY AND ONLY THE CMOS RESET AND RESTART BUTTENS FLASH AND THE SOUND CARD.
I HAVE TRIED IT WITH THE BARE MIN OUT THE CASE AND IN BUT NO JOY.
ALL NEW PARTS AND NEVER GOT PASSED THE POWER UP STAGE.
FROM THE FIRST POST IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE PARTS?
I AM OK WITH BUILDING THIS BUT IF THERE IS A FAULTY PART OR WRONG PART I AM NOT SURE ABOUT HOW TO FIND IT.
aLL PARTS CAME IN BOXES WITH NO DAMAGE.

No All capitals please, it's rude.
If nothing 'physical' happens, fans spinning up etc, the PSU isn't activating the 12V rail, so it can only be a faulty PSU or board. Try the PSU first as its more likely to be the problem, and more easily changed.

If that's where you bought it from then yes. Good luck with that though, MicroDirect are usually pretty troublesome with returns.

@dav6
Before you return the other P/S...especially if you have to mail it in...Do you have access to another P/S...to check if that is the problem?..
