So back in 2003, I built my first PC, and stuff is starting to fail a lot on it, so I want to build a new PC now. I don't want to really go over 800 dollars, but I can use the stuff from my old computer.
Stuff I plan on using is the hard drive, Cd drive, and memory. The case, video card, and processor are also ok, but I don't think they will be compatible, nor would I want to buy parts for something thats about to go out of date.
Any help would be appreciated, I will need a video card, case, power supply, video card, mother board, proccessor, and maybe a sound card, otherwise I'll use the one that comes internally on the motherboard.
these total $541. just swap out the other parts should be about the same price
actually this AMD build is about $36 more.
the total for the intel stuff is
$507 , both have about$50 in mail in rebates....
sorry I havnret been able to get back to you so soon, I'm interested in Intel. I havent read past your first sentence first though because I wanted to reply as soon as possible, I'll go back and read your reccomendatins now. Thanks.
WOW.. so you went with the INTEL stuff i suggested? that will be a pretty good system you'll have. i didnt know how much of a gamer you are. but the card isnt the top dog out there plus you said budget. but its not bottom dweller either....
you do have some thermal paste for the CPU? also i forgot to ask, do you plan on overclocking your CPU any? if so you might wanna think about a aftermarket cooler for it... the stock one will be fine if you dont plan to OC it any
not a bad price for all this.
once your MIR's come back it will only cost $684. $90 in rebates-$32 in shipping.
