Running Vista, installed Bittorrent client and must've switched a default to media player because now everytime I attempt to open an .exe file it tries to run in media player. Keep running into C00D0FEA error message. Additionally, a heap of shortcuts on my desktop turned into media player icons. I've tried to go in and change the computer defaults, but of course, the program tries to open through media player! HELP!!! me please as i do not have a clue what has happened and im dying 2 get it fixed
an EXE file opening in mediaplayer? As far as I know .exe files can never have an 'open with' attribute... Can you try a system restore to before you installed the torrent client?

I'll be honest, I'm not sure what you did to cause that, I still say system restore. Also if you want your thread not to be closed, I suggest you edit the title to be somewhat more relevant.
