ive just been told by my ip that if i continue to download from p2p they will cutmy internet connection so i downloaded a program that changes mi isp address will this stop my isp from knowing what i download

I believe you meant IP address. Now to your question: Yes and No. While it may change your IP, it still doesnt give 100% anonymity. For ex. if you're downloading from bittorrent and they spy on your connections, they can see what you are downloading. That's why there are bittorrent clients that support encryption, such as Halite and utorrent. However, even encryption and PeerGuardian doesn't give 100% protection.

How do ISPs find out if you download illegal content? They can either a) spy on your connection or
b) connect to a tracker (through a torrent for example) and see your IP connected to a certain file, or join a Hub in DC++ to see your IP and the stuff you are sharing.

If you want to be 100% sure they wont cut your internet, stop downloading and instead buy them.

buying ok but at 20 to 40 pounds a game its a rip off for instance windows vista costs from 150 pounds to 300 pounds why buy at these stupid prices when you can download for free cheaper prices and people might stop dl
