I just decided to play this classic for the Playstation 2,
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City but I'm having a serious problem: every time I try to load or save a game, it completely freezes (hangs), and the sound is stuck at the last tone/buzz it was playing. At this point I cannot even reset the PS2, I have to power it off then back on.
Curiously, if I delete the saved game file from the memory card, I can restart playing from the beginning (*GROAN*). After the first save, it works fine (and can load). Then, after saving a second game, every time I try to load a game (via the "start" button), or try to save a game (by walking into the cassette tape in the hotel), the freeze occurs.
Is there any known problem with GTA VC? I have tried...
a) Play it from both HDLoader and the optical disc
b) Tried with a Sony 8 MB mem card and a Datel 16 MB, same problem on both.
c) Walk out to the street, steal the first car I see, run over some people, and come back home to see if the machine has cooled down. No improvement. *Just kidding*
