i've always toyed with the idea of purchasing a killer nic

however Im not sure if its really worth the $$$

i've heard of decreased latency due to these cards....but then again some people only report a 5-9% decreased ping so i dont really know :(



any thought??? any one an owner of one of these???

Can't really say but if that percentage in ping is true you mentioned, not worth the cash.

never in a million years.
Go to a proper LAN party, and check your ping. Mine was less than 1ms, reliably, with integrated networking, let alone a PCI card.
