I have a LG GSA 4040B firmware A302 and i made some backup of my dvds but my Home theater, an LG DA 3520, doesn't play it well.
if I use Verbatim DVD-R the film plays but it split off some frames so it doesn't look very well,if I use DVD+R Philips after loading the disc appear on the display "STOP" and i can't do anything else that eject
writing software: Nero 6.3.02 or cloneDVD 1.4.11
writing speed: 1X,2X,4X
and every time always the same problem
Hope someone can help me

Try some of the media other people have had good experiences with in the LG DA 3520.

Here's a few picks
Quote:
Working Dvd-r: bulpaq, that's write
Non Working Dvd-r: cvd, verbatim datalifeplus

works fine with hp dvd+r and dvd+rw
burned with nero wtih full compatibility on

Multi-Region Hack
-----------------
1. Turn Player on with no disc inside
2. Press pause on the remote control
3. Then key in 3 1 4 1 5 9 [CODE -- will then be displayed on the player display]
4. Key in desired Region number [0 for Auto Multi Region, or manually select 1 to 6]
5. Then Press Pause again
6. Turn off player and wait 5 seconds, then back on again.

VCD Hack
--------
1. Power on the player with no disk in the drive
2. Press "PAUSE" on the remote
3. Enter "1472" on the remote (the characters 01 47 should appear on the display)
[If your player is a non UK model, this number will probably be different - don't worry]
4. Press the UP arrow three times (the characters 04 Fd should appear on the display)
[This number may be different depending on the configuration of your specific model - don't worry]
5. Press "PROGRAM", "6", "PROGRAM", "5" (the characters 04 FE should now be displayed)
6. Press "ENTER" (the display should flash briefly)
7. Press "RETURN"
8. Power the player off and then back on
