i have a chipped (hardmodded) ps2 fat (30004r). the lens is breaking down, so i want to use hdloader. i already bought a hdd network adapter and i have the original network discs from sony with it (whatever they are good for). i have a 8 mb memory card, and getting a hard disk to fit will not be a problem. since my lens is getting bad i am only able to boot some burned dvd games and original playstation 1 and 2 games. no original dvd movies or backup cd's (most of the times at least) will boot. it just keeps spinning until it dies out. what i want to do is make a mc/usb exploit, of which to boot hdloader to limit the stress on my lens. what would be nice is the following setup:

1) i want to boot with an original psx (1) trigger disc to start the exploit (8 mb sony memorycard or usb flash disk?).
2) from there on, i want the hdloader program (or something similar) to boot either from the 8 mb memorycard or usb flash disk to save the lens (for booting the lens works more than fin!)
3) after hdd loader has booted, i want to scroll the hard disk for the game i want to play and play it.

so, i hope i will only need the lens to trigger the exploit. from there on i want the other programs to boot from either the internal harddisk (in the network adapter, like games etc.) or the memory card exploit / usb flash disk (like the hddloader).

i am not sure whether there is a solution? what i do have is the following

--ps2 fat r30004r which is chipped, and still boots copies up to an extent
--8 mb sony original memory card
--network adapter (i will be getting a hard drive that will fit)
--original psx 1 disk and original ps 2 disk
-- a 128 mb usb flash drive if needed

i found some tutorial about making a mc exploit (with a psx trigger disk) with the above tutorial.

1) i already made an nero image, so that will most probably install. 2) i also downloaded the image for hdloader8c (extracted it is 30mb in an iso/cue files). it has boot.elf (605kb), SYSTEM.CNF (1kb), DUMMY.DAT (25500kb) on it.
==>) now i have the mc exploit installer cd for my trigger disc, and an image for hdloader.

but what do i have to do with these hdloader files? can't i just copy them to the disc i made with the above tutorial (this mc exploit installer disk already has a boot.elf in the folder 'files'!?

i want the mc exploit to boot directly into hdloader to play games from the hd without using the lens. so can i just install these files (which one, the dummy file is to big) them to the mc exploit as well (and into which folder)?

i feel the solution is simple (or not) to also put the hdloader program onto the mc exploit, but how to..
once again, any help is appreciated
