utorrent here (not earlier 1.7 versions and no beta's), don't quote me but I think something like 70% of people use it. Personally, I think the most recent version is fine but the last version of utorrent before the buyout, 1.6, Build 474, is the one many are staying with: http://www.filehippo.com/download_utorrent/1258/ When you own the rights to all versions, how hard would it be to add in a backdoor to any previous to your purchase, if one isn't trustworthy, none are and in over a year and a half there's been no definitive proof of any issues. If so, someone is showing great patience. I always beleived that Bram Cohen purchased utorrent and aligned with the MPAA for the purpose of downloading legally, that was wrong. I also don't think anyone is going to collect data for the MPAA but publicize their purchase at the same time. I do think there is a conflict of interest, which he denies, but don't think there's any problems with reporting on new versions.
i tried utorrent 1.6 and its really slow compared to bitorrent 6.0.3 so im sticking with bitorrent for now. But the only problem is that im trying to start using private trackers but alot of them dont except the bitorrent client. So maybe il just go with utorrent 1.7.7 you said you used that right?
I use it, no problem. Your speed issue was probably a result of connections. Be aware though that at least one private site, I Love Torrents, requires the use of utorrent 1.6, other's recommend any version utorrent or Azureus, pretty well all have banned BitLord, read the FAQ's in case. All the sites will tell you what client they accept.
