Well I ran this utility to scan and see if I could add more RAM and I got

# Maximum Memory Capacity: 1024MB
# Currently Installed Memory: 1GB
# Available Memory Slots: 1
# Number of Banks: 2
# Dual Channel Support: No
# CPU Manufacturer: AuthenticAMD
# CPU Family: AMD Turion(tm) 64 Mobile Technology ML-34 Model 4, Stepping 2
# CPU Speed: 1790 MHz

It said that my system has the maximum memory installed. So there's no way to get my computer more RAM? I cant go above the 1GB I already have? What determines how much RAM I can have? My CPU? If I were to get a new one, what should I get? And... will it fit in my computer/ My computer is a Slimline s7520n PC.. Which I haer has a notebook processor or something? I dunno. Oh, and its HP.

I guess what I really need to know is, for my particular model can I even upgrade ANYTHING? I want to make this computer faster, a lot faster. I'm going to put some money into it. But I got this model before I knew anything about computers, can my particular model accept a new CPU? Can I get a new processor and all that jazz? My case is pretty small, its a Slimline. I dunno, I'm such a noob at this any help would be greatly appreciated.

The maximum RAM your computer can hold is determined by the chipset and BIOS. Sometimes putting in more RAM works, other times it doesn't. You can give it a try. As of now I think you have 1 x 1GB stick inside.

It usually doesnt work. If it does, its usually buggy and creates massive system hang, kind of like putting incompatible RAM into a bank. If you wanted more RAM but are limited by this, you could probably pick up a cheap motherboard and transfer your components over.

PC Specs:
E6750 C2D @ 2.66GHZ 1333FSB
1GB Corsair Value Ram 667MHZ/Transcend 2GB 800MHZ
EAH4650 512 Onboard
2x 250G Seagate SATA

Probably can't replace the motherboard easily since its a HP slimline. For complete specs though check HP's site.

Yeh.. My best option I suppose is to just buy a new computer. Thanks though, guys.

Pity my computer knowledge at the time of buying this was "hey that case looks cool."
