I downloaded videos from a torrent, and whenever I click the videos on my computer, they play in English. Whenever I preview before burning, they are in English. But for some reason, after the videos are burnt to DVD as movie files, they are in some other language.

If I can prevent this from happening I would really like to know.

Help would be very much appreciated.

In theory, you may have had a source file that contained
two languages, and during the conversion to DVD,
either only one was picked up, or are they both on the DVD
but the non-English language is the default .

Thanks. Sounds possible.

The torrent actually listed four languages. I tried three times and, unfortunately, English doesn't seem to be the one that gets burned.

So you believe only one audio track made it to the DVD?
If you're sure of this, a couple of approaches -

Look to see if the DVD encoder allows you to select the
audio stream, and obviously, if it does select the English.

Two, recreate the source file stripping out the languages
you don't want. Then feed the new file containing only English
to the DVD encoder.

Actually, I'm not sure if only one language reached the DVD. I've looked for a way to change the language before and after burning, but I haven't found any.

Usually software dvd players have a sub-menu that you can
bring up. Look to see what's there. What are you using on the PC
to play the DVD's ?

Also, standalone dvd players usually have an "audio" button or similar
on the remote where you can cycle through the different audio tracks.

I'm using windows media player to play videos on the computer. I'm using Bit torrent to burn the DVDs.

On my DVD player when I press the audio button it says English, but it's playing in, I think, Italian.

I'm beginning to think that maybe that is the only language that's being burned, but I can find no option in bit torrent for making sure it burns in English.
