Playing movies with a LG Recorder

I just got back from a baby shower and i went to burn a dvd. I did all of the requirements using nero (updated) and went to play it in my lg recorder/player and it did not work. Any, ideas on why. I bought this recorder about 4 months ago. Is there something wrong with the player or i'm i doing something wrong?

Please help this shower is very important to me.

Does the DVD play ok on the PC.
