problem ripping DVD

I'm trying to make a backup of a DVD called Play'd. Anyways, I use my DVD burner as both my source and destination drive, which I do with PS2 games no problem. Everytime the DVD is creating the image file to burn, it gets to 95% or above and then it has an error. I've used Alcohol 120%, Nero, and CloneDVD and I'm running ANYDVD. Does anyone know what I need to do to successfully burn these DVD?

Hey I got the same exact problem w/ a DVD 9G big -
The DVD plays just fine w/ Power DVD or any other dvd player for PC or stand alone. Just when ripping it gets to the last 5% or so and I get an error message ..
If you find the solution please share it here

could it be that there is a problem with the original disc? If the ripper can't correct any read errors then the process usually stuffs up.

I've had this problem with some crappier original dvd anime. A good way to tell is when you play the disc the movie may stutter or jerk around a bit.
