I own a ipod 5G, xbox 360, and PS3 I am looking for either a file format or configuration settings that will get me the highest quality video that will play and stream on the 3 devices(only want 1 file). I currently using DVDFAB Platinum right now. Willing to purchase any necessary software needed.

the source movie is the best quality you can get if you make a copy or rip a movie. the best quality movies are on blu-ray so that's gonna have to be your source movie. then you'll have to find out what each device supports in terms of file format. then you can convert the blu-ray to that format. the resolution is usually customizable. for example you dont need a 1000x1000 resolution for an ipod but blu-ray res is great for xbox360 and ps3 (providing they both support bluray)

Resolution for iPods are WAY LOWER than PS3 or XBOX. You can convert your videos to a format that will work on ANY portable device and also on your PS3 or XBOX too. The program I use is called FormatFactory which you can find it in this page:
