ok. I just downloaded vuse about 2 weeks ago. My isp is cox and my bandwith is 9mb and over 700KB. For some reason I get slow down and up speeds for the bandwith I have. Average down speed is around 300kb/s up speed is 84kb/s. I've used configuration wizard several times but can never get the "line" to go and stay past, (adsl/cablexxx/384kbps). What am I doing wrong? Please help.

Not bad speed's considering Cox: http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Bad_ISPs You can try tweaking a few things and see how it goes. Use Protocol Encryption: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/395674 disable UPnP: http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/UPnP use a port over 50,000 that isn't the default, take a speed test and set your upload to 80%: http://www.speedtest.net/ Take it a few times on various days and times to get a good average specially if that's Cable because it'll probably fluctuate a great deal and keep in mind that most test's are in kb/s but Azureus uses kB/s, 1 kB = 8 kb. Port forwarding if you use a router. You might get better speed at an off peak time like 12:00 AM - 6:00 AM but doubt it.

Thanks alot mistycat for all your help. I still have the same problem. I think it might be cox thottling. Before I was able to dl 700mbs in 20 mins. now it takes about 2 hours. Any advice on a good isp. thanks again

No idea on an ISP. You could try enabling UPnP again, helps some people. Actually, the U/L is better than mine and my ISP doesn't block.
