Moscagna and all.... I need step by step instructions for this version. Do all version's work the same? Im trying to copy a back-up of BLADE II! I just got it yesterday, I'm having a problem with step 5 (Oh by the way this is a split onto 2 DVD+RW)
I copy the VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.BUF AND VIDEO_TS.VOB.. Now my problem, it says to copy the sets of the title from step 3 right. Positive for blade II its the VTS_01_xx set.. there is 7 sets in VTS_01 and all are 1,048,000... and when I add all these sets to dvd1 and dvd2 these files are too big for my 4.3gig dvd5 cd! Should I try to copy the (Movie Only)? Please help anyone

Hi DCasi34 , I think the bits you need to copy are the three VIDEO_TS files as you have done but then you only need the VTS_01__0.BUP , VTS_01_0.IFO and VTS_01_0.VOB not the rest of the VTS set because they are the movie and that is the part you have split . So you can leave VTS_01_1.VOB , VTS_01_2.VOB ETC
Depending on what options you have ticked when you split it you may find you already have some of the VTS_01_0. files in the destination directories because Ifoedit has made them for you , usually .IFO and .BUP so you may just need to copy VTS_01_0.VOB which is the menu vob

It could just be the media , my old set top box didn't play much but there was nothing wrong with the actual disks , have you tried them on somebody elses player . It could also be slight errors that the pc can correct for and the set top can't

Hi Pipster, since your the only one responding... Ok I am using an HP DVD+RW and my setup didn't acknowledge it, but it plays on my pc using Power DVD.... then I tried a HP DVD+R my setup box gave an error it can't play this media.... I haven't tried on any other setup box, I think I'm going to go to my bro's and try his box. My player is a Panasonic RAK-DV965WK 5 DISC DVD PLAYER... I once saw a link for DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW compatibility setup box. Maybe my player is the problem.

hello Pipster and all, I just read a thread from Neil_sure about panasonic playback probs. He said panasonic players don't like vob files over 1 gig! How do i minimize my files under 1 gig? Can that be the problem? Sounds kinda far fetched!

Im not sure if the size is a problem cos 1,048,000 sounds about the same size as an original , have you checked the size on an original DVD
There's this site that lists players so you can check compatability but yours isn't listed
http://www.vcdhelper.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDname=&Search=Search&list=0&listall=List%2BAll%2BAlphabetical Im not sure what else i can say , I dont know much about DVD+R does all the same software work with them because Prassi is pretty good and it doesn't like to write disks with errors , like when you forget to do the get VTS sectors , it wont record it.

Ok Pipster, I found out the problem... It was my setup box.... I went out and bought a Apex 1100w for about $60 bucks. It worked like a charm, so all my back-ups were correct. Dam setup box was my problem..... Thank you very much for all your help Pipster...... You guys can close this thread now..... :-)
