I have made correct Video_TS folders which includes menus. I am using Nero Express 7.9.6.4 updated online The nero.exe file is version 7.11.10.0
I started Nero StartSmart Essentials and tried "Make your own DVD-Video" which starts Nero Vision Essentials.
There is no menu item to use already existing Video_TS folders. I can drag it over but then Nero vision starts to make its own menues.
Next I went back to StartSmart and tried again this time to make my DVD-Video as a DVD Data disk. On dragging the Video_TS folder Nero complained saying that this would not make a DVD complient disk.
Update:
I tried the Data DVD method using a Verbatim DVD-R disc. I ignored the "You have added DVD-Video content to a compilation that will not result in a DVD-Video complinet disc". The result was that my stand-alone Sony player says "No disc title" and will not play even although I gave a short title name in Nero Express.
This is so frustrating and I hope someone can help.
(a) your link is not discussing Video_TS folders which in my case already exist, and;
(b) Nero Express no longer has "Nero Burning ROM" included so I cannot use this to burn my Video_TS (and Audio_TS in case it is needed by my player)folder.
Hope I can still get a solution which does not involve me buying a (bloated) Nero 7/8 program.

If this is the case, burn your VIDEO_TS folder with ImgBurn.

Dialysis1,
I took your advice. Firstly I uninstalled Nero Express 7 and used the Nero clean tool. I then installed IMGBurn and made an image of my Video_TS, Data and Audio_TS folders. I burned the img file with IMGBurn and it plays perfectly on my Sony standalone player.
I was also pleased to find that evenb after uninstalling Nero Express I can still play the DVD on my computer which I could not do before installing Nero Express. Presumably an MPEG2 codec was left intact?
