Hi,

I live in the San Francisco bay area, and have AT&T DSL. I've noticed over the past few days that all torrents I'm trying to download or seed are failing to connect to the major trakers (such as TPB). If I fetch this URL manually: http://vip.tracker.thepiratebay.org:80/announce, I get back only: <title>Invalid Request</title>

Could it be that AT&T is blocking the trackers? Is anyone else seeing this problem?

People have reported problems from your area before..

On to the url.. that's not a valid address, it does not call a valid page, only the tracker portal. Every torrent has a string of numbers after that url for a torrent client to access for data streams not for a browser which will just display a blank page with "invalid request".. everything normal there.

Never mind, I found out that somehow my torrent client had gotten bound to a bad IP address, so no communication was working. It's better now.

At least until AT&T starts metering traffic, I have to say I think they're the best broadband provider around here, as surprising as that sounds.
