New System Won't Turn On

My parts arrived yesterday and I put everything together. However, when I switch the power supply unit to the on position and hit the on board power switch nothing happens.

Is it possible for a PSU to not be compatible with a motherboard?

These are my parts

PSU
mobo
CPU
Ram
optical drive
HD
HD case

This is the first computer I've built and I'm not sure what's wrong. The fan to the PSU doesn't even spin.

His post suggests that he has. It could potentially be a faulty PSU or Mobo of course. These things happen.

Opps, sorry missed that. It's just that once I was trying to see why there was no image on my monitor and it wasn't turned on lol.

I took it into the shop and confirmed it was the power supply unit, DOA.

Fair enough. I would have recommended going with a Corsair PSU anyway. Either that or an Antec EarthWatts, the other units don't seem to be doing so well lately.
