I am seeing this information in my log file would like to know if someone could tell me what the log info is. I am only receiving this when burning with DVD+R discs. When I use DVD+RW I do not receive this information.

I don't feel it is memory related since I was able to burn a disc using ImgBurn with a DVD+RW disc. Same video files.

Open ImgBurn.
Click on Tools and then Filter Driver Load Order.
Then click on Copy to clipboard and paste that information here.
Also try burning at 8X.

Why are you burning so slow? Does the disc play?

EDIT:

You are only getting warnings...if that warning was followed by an E (error) then you would have a coaster.

I = Information
W = Warning
E = Error

You should be able to get it replaced. Contact the place where you bought it from.

the Sony media is usually good stuff you might try a different brand like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim and see if your having the same problem. you should be able to burn at 8x to 12x max with no problems with that burner. if you are still unsuccessful replace the burner.

you do have the most up to date firmware for the drive right?

I have the latest firmware from the USA site.

I am getting an RMA and getting this drive exchanged. I will try again with the new replacement drive. I really do not feel it is the drive since I am able to burn with a DVD+RW disc and DVD+R discs burn as well. It just does not want finalize the disc. I am able to burn DVD+R discs when doing other projects.

I have backed up over 50+ discs with this brand and never had any issues.

Will post again when I receive the replacement drive and burn again.
Thanks everyone for your support.
