I will quote 'MaryD7' who is an awesome member here-
"i suggest you buy a Acekard, Edge, DSTT, Supercard DSone, EzFlash, etc etc.. I would avoid N5DS and R4DS. if you go here www.gbatemp.net and read full reviews on all available cards. then just pick one with a 'Golden Award'. "

I have experience with Edge and DSTT and they are both superb, and relatively hassle free.
R4s you cna get away with, there's a lot of problems you can run into though, they are a solid choice if you can get them to work.

lol :D
people keep asking same ol' question 'which is best card to get?'
Its like asking which is best TV or car or mobile phone to buy?
all depends what you like, so its best to do your own research and pick the one you like the most.
-i personnaly likes the Supercard DSone ;)

Don't know if you have already bought your card or not, but I have the M3 DS Real. It is awesome, and works great. I have not had any problems with it. It can work with any sdhc card, of any size, so you can have tons of space. It was really easy to get all the files to make it work, and I haven't had any problems. I would definitely suggest this card, or atleast look into it.

I use R4. It works good. As I know, many guys choose CycloDS nowadays. It supports the new generation of micro sd cards and larger micro sd cards but more expensive. You could read the reviews on gbatemp. all kinds of card review there. and Depot888 sell these cards. I bought twice there. Reliable shop.

As for how do you download the games, you can find a lot of roms on torrents available for download. How do you put them in your r4 card, I'm assuming you transfer it over into a specifically named folder or so, but I'm not sure because I use the m3 ds real. You can buy the r4 at the website gameyeeeah.com. I was able to get my m3 there without a hassle

Make sure that you google whatever you pick before you get it though. I got a R4-III Upgrade this week and now I'm reading that it is fake on some sites when I google. I'm still reading up on it some more though so I can't say if its true or not.

If you want something with GBA and Rumble Pack support (is rumble pack really worth it?), what is the absolutely best out there to buy?
I've been looking at the M3 DS Real Perfect Bundle
* 1 x M3 DS Real (Black)
* 1 x M3 DS Real Rumble Pack (Black)
* 1 x M3 DS Real GBA Expansion Pack (Black)
* 1 x USB TF/microSD Reader
* 1 x M3 DS Real Card Case
$55.37 CDN + $7.31 CDN shipping
I'm buying from here: http://www.kickgaming.com/real-perfect-bundle-p-277.html
I can buy a 2 GB Kingston SD for only $9.99 at this computer place near my place so the SD card won't be a problem.

The card you choose should be one that is being supported regularly, a lot of issues with newer games and the software not being updated relegates your card to the bin and the need to buy a replacement. M3 Simply (Software support seems dead), R4 Software support now seems very slow. Also support for High capacity micro SD means you can have more roms on the card - less taking out and swapping games. I have just purchased an M3 real + 8gb Micro SD (160 roms+)- as its a relatively new product (less than 1yr) from a manufacturer that has been around for a while with regular upgrades. However the new M3 real(2008)with a click out micro SD slot is a lot more fragile than the pull out version made last year.
