I Downloaded a DVD-R movie torrent file and the folder download contained about 30 or so COMPRESSED files with a name.....movietitle.r01, movietitle.r02, movietitle.r30 and so on. It also contained 30 or so NONCOMPRESSED files such as....movietitle.r40, movietitle.r45 and so on.

if anyone can give me some info or a somewhat detailed walkthrough on how to burn these files i would greatly appriciate it.

burning programs i have are "ImgBurn" and "Nero7"

thanks in advance

Under the "Guides" tab at the top of the page you'll find THIS . Look there for most, if not all that you might need. Feel free to post back if you can't find the answer(s).

Cheers.

Using this guide has alway's worked for me as long as the sub's are srt, most seem to be: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/adding_subs_to_avi.cfm Subscene is another site for sub's. I think adding them to the video file is supposed to work too but never has for me.

It seems that the movie that you have is an AVI with a subtitle file. If you want to put that on a DVD to watch it on your TV, then you need to use a program like DVD Flick( free), or ConvertxToDVD; it will create a DVD compilation with switchable on/off subtitles.
If you hardcode the subs with VirtualDub, they will always be on; whether you want to make the movie into a DVD to watch it on your TV or keep it as an AVI to watch it on your computer, hardcoding the subs is pretty much an unnecessary time consuming step. On your computer your player will display them if they are in the folder with the AVI and named same as the movie.

If yo say you have Nero, just right click the IMG and "Open/Burn with Nero Burning Rom(not sure exactly how it is worded in Nero 8)". Or download ImgBurn (free) and just burn the DVD.
