iso keeps saying loading

i upgraded my psp from 3.03 OE-C to 3.40 OE to be able to play iso games and the instructions given were perfect but for some reason the games just keeping saying loading but don't actually start playing............what am i doing wrong............pls help.

3.40 OE-A is dated. update to at least 3.71 m33-4

safest way is with THIS guide.
read it first before attempting.

thanks for the lead,
i have read the guide but there is just something i wanted to ask again,i am sorry i seem slow with this but i just don't want to ruin the psp,actually the games actually do show,infact the miami vice that i have shows the preview of the game and all but after that,it just starts with the loading thing,is 3.71 m33-4 upgrade still the way out of this?

it can either be a bad rip, or the firmware. either way, going to 3.71 m33-4 will guarantee the ability to play all games. no other games require anything higher than 3.71 right now.

cee43ja1,i hope i am not a pain in the xxxxxxx,
i really appreciate your help so far,and i was able to go through the guide link that you gave me and i think i should be able to upgrade to 3.71 now,but i noticed on this forum,a guy that said once one upgrades to 3.71,there is no downgrading again.would this be a problem and how true is this,i hope you're here today to help me out with this.

you can always downgrade with pandora's battery, but once you're on 3.71 m33-4, there's no need to go back since it's works with everything.

thanks so much for all your help,i followed the guide to upgrade to 3.71 and it seemed to have words just like you said but the thing i noticed is that when i check system setting,my psp still shows that i am on 3.40 i have all the icons for the 3.71 update and even the add ons but for some reason i don't think it updated.

my 300(march to glory) still does the same thing as it did when i was on 3.40 the game would try starting,show all the previews but gets to a point where it is meant to load and for me to start playing the game but it never leaves the loading page.
i am just so lost and don't know what to do now.
