Best use of Dvddecrypter and dvd shrink

Hello,i am newbie

I have a question about those who use dvddecrypter and dvd shrink
Why using dvddecrypter? DVD shrink is a standalone program, do we have a best quality in using this combination?
Other question, i got DVD2one1.4, Pinnacle instant copy8, and latest dvd shrink? What is the best? does it depends on the compression i use to backup movie?

You misunderstand the forum. The newbie section is for newbie questions, all users will answer in there.

Shrink and Decrypter don't do the same thing. Shrink removes the protection and transcodes the movie to fit on one disc. Decrypter simply removes the protection, it doesn't do any transcoding or re-encoding.

Shrink isn't very good at decrypting, Decypter is.

In answer to your last part they are all much of a muchness and the quality of output of course depends on the amount of compression used.
All the programs you mention are transcoders. To get the best quality you need to re-encode the video, not transcode it, but transcoding will suit if you aren't that fussed.
