Hello, I didn't find any post alike on this forum:

I've forward port 57654 on my router, to use it as Azureus torrent dowload port. When I test it with NAT firewall test in Azureus it says: NAT Napaka - Connect attempt to **.**.***.***:57654 (your computer) timed out after 20 seconds. This means your port is probably closed.

OK!
this is not yet strange. When I tested port 32654, wich I don't have in port forward it says: port 32654 OK... How can that be? Does port forwarding matters at all? How can connection get through my router to comp?
I don't have static IP, have cable net connection,
onya

If your not interested in giving back what you take, then port forwarding is irrelevant.....however...your membership won't last long!
uTorrent is my preferred client and within preferences there is a "random port" box, perhaps azureus has something similar? if so un-tick it.
Go HERE for port forwarding your router. Choose the brand, model etc. and you're good to go. As for your clients settings...I don't have a clue. Look through "your site" for preferred settings. The one and only reason to port forward is to let others "see" you and your files. Go through the FAQ's on your site and do a little reading on what's best to protect yourself etc.

Cheers.
