OK i found only one thread with my exact issue...

Unlock Issue

anyway i locked my hdd to attempt a softmod hdd swap for a customer. Since this was my first attempt @ a soft mod hdd swap, i figured i try and lock my unlocked hdd in my hardmoded console and turn it off and see if i could get into the regular M$ dash...no dice, in fact error 06... oh-uh, so i poped my 120gb hdd back into my pc and attempted to unlock with hdunlock.exe, this is where i kept getting his same issue.. device not ready......

HERES THE KICKER (MS DOS has failed YOU, the great xboxhdm is the savour w/ almight linux ok so hdunlock couldn't get past this device not ready but i noticed in xboxhdm under command 3 w/ locking/unlocking untilities that u can not only use unlockhd -a but as well as -f for file pass and -p for command typed, which is what i did and put in the exact password i used to lock it with hdlock.exe but hdunlock.exe failed to unlock it successfully.

I just wanted to post this find since it was nowhere to be found on any other thread with a viable solution. Please post any comments if you think i maybe wrong or think i found a good find!!
