Some help here please with a problem copying a dvd in PAL format which fails to copy onto NTSC format.

I made a DVD from a Movie Maker programme, and saved it as a PAL formatted avi file. When I came to burn it on Nero it would only burn as a PAL format even though I had specified NTSC format. I even had the little box to remind me that the majority of the avi file was in PAL format and that I had the choice of how it burned. It wouldn't burn as NTSC, but PAL only.

When I press the burn button it shows 'Unable to prepare data for recording: Prepare session failed: Transcoding of videos failed.'

Any way round this please. I haven't burned any DVD's for a while so I may have forgotten something on the way, but I always burn to NTSC format and haven't had this problem before that I remember.

Thanks.

Try DVD Flick.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.
