357 mb is plenty enough to burn but not multitasking wile burning is a wise move and I use Ritek have done for many a year never had any problems

I am having a similar problem. Burning DL for the first time and had "Session Fixation error". This burner has been excellent so far with single layers.
I have checked and there is no indication that there is any problem with the discs, which by the way are: TDK DVD+R 8x
Using Nero 7 Ultra
Have used Alcohol 120% with same results.

Hi all.
Right, after DAYS of trawling through forums and threads and trying to come up with an answer myself I finally have to admit I'm stumped and ask for help.
All I'm trying to do is backup a DL DVD original onto another DL DVD...surely not that hard!?
I'm using a Pioneer DVD-R DVR111D burner and some no-name DL DVD+R DVDs (I know, I know). I have the latest versions of DVDShrink, DVDDecrypter, IMGBurn, and DVDFab (freeware), and Nero. Surely some permutation of these packages should suffice!
As I said, I've been researching a bit, and as a result it appears that I need to rip via ISO>>read, then burn via ISO>>write, specifying the MDS file.
I tried this with DVDDecrypter (which I've always found to be excellent when I've burnt SL DVDs) and am now the proud owner of five (yes that's right, five) shiny new coasters. I persisted with DVDDecrypter rather than IMGBurn for writing because, well, I really couldn't see the difference.
I have since tryied ISO>>read with DVDDecrypter, and then ISO>>write with IMGBurn. It still didn't work, but fortunately I didn't add to my coaster collection because IMGBurn advised me that:
"Optimal L1 Data Zone Start LBA: None Found! (VTS_2)
This image has not been mastered correctly for burning onto a double layer (OTP Track Path) disc.
None of the cells meet the 'DVD-Video specification' criteria for a potential layer break position."
(So that's at least one VERY good reason to use IMGBurn...terrific disc saving warning prompts!)
Clearly the layer break is important...I got that impression from the threads.
So, any advice? What the hell am I doing wrong? One thing I've thought of is that perhaps I'm supposed to be using DVD-R discs, not +R. Is that an issue? If it is, then is appears to be separate from my ripping/burning process, which I am clearly doing wrong somehow.
Advice would be great. I really don't need any more coasters...

Rip the files to your HDD using DVDFab HD Decrypter. Burn those files with ImgBurn. No need to create an ISO. If you feel that you want an ISO, let ImgBurn create it. Not DVD Decrypter.
