Any ways to author DVD-R with WAVs from Redbook CDs

Are there any ways that one can author a DVD-R with WAVs from multiple 44.1Khz Redbook CDs?

This would be very useful to combile classical box sets into one single medium and listen to it all in one go.

Just to clarify, I am referring to DVD-R with WAV files that is playing on any DVD or SACD or DVD-Audio players.

The only way I know to do that is to transcode them (convert them to 48 khz). I don't think you're able to put a straight 44.1 khz WAV file on a DVD, at least not as an audio file.

The upshot is that it's pretty easy to use BeSweet or Nero to convert them to 48 khz. I have over $10k in my audio system, and as far as I can hear the result is pretty much indistinguishable from the original WAV file.

Just to clarify, are you saying to transcode them into 48Khz WAV file?

And when I author the disk, am I making a data disk with WAV files? How should I author the disk?

I have Roxio Easy DVD creator.
