I know you may have seen people with this error a billion times, "Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter". But I've been on Afterdawn and on other forums and I can't seem to get the problem fixed, because mine isn't similar to those which were solved.

I switched on the computer with everything plugged in when I got the error.

Things I did to check if the error would go away:

Booted computer with Memtest86 CD in the DVD rom = Same error
Removed HDD = Same error
Removed DVD-drive and HDD = Same error
Booted computer with XP CD = Same error
Went into BIOS and changed the boot sequence from Floppy -> CD -> HDD to CD -> HDD -> USB = Same error

The only time I got through the error was when I inserted the motherboard CD, it took me to a backup/reboot page
