I've had Nero 8 for a couple of months, and I'm finding it a bit of a pain to use.
I used to use Nero 7 Essentials which was far better.

Does anyone know if it's possible to downgrade to Nero 7?

If so, how?

Steve

Save your Serial #, uninstall Nero 8! Use Nero 8 cleaning tools:
http://www.nero.com/enu/support-nero8-tools-utilities.html
do a registry clean up using this free cleaner: CCleaner:
http://www.ccleaner.com/download
then do a defrag and reboot!

there is a better version of Nero 7.... 7.10.1.0........

now reinstall Nero 7.10.1.0:

Thanks IHoe,

Re-reading my post, I think I should have been a bit clearer.

The Nero 7 Essentials that I used was an OEM version which came with a DVD burner. I have upgraded to a newer/faster burner, which isn't recognised by Nero 7 Essentials - hence the upgrade to Nero 8.

IHoe, Im not sure if you're saying that my Nero 8 serial number is good for Nero 7.10.1.0 I'd be grateful if you could clarify.

Thanks,

Steve

well......... I too had a serial # with Nero 6 OEM version that came with my burner about 2 yrs ago. I upgraded to Nero 7 using the same serial #..... and that's where I am as of today. I'm sure if you have a Nero 8 serial # it should work for Nero 7. If it doesn't then you can always upgrade again using that serial #. right? what do you have to lose in trying?

The same routine also worked for me when I went to Nero 7.10.10 from Nero 6 OEM.

OK, it's taken me a month, but today I attempted the downgrade from Nero 8 to 7

I downloaded 7.10.1.0
Unfortunately I couldn't install it as it wouldn't accept the serial number from Nero 8.

If anyone has any other suggestions that would get Nero 7 running, I would be grateful.

Cheers,

Steve

What problems are you having with Nero 8. I've been using 8.3.2.1 5 months and have had no problems. Just curious?
