checked dma settings all good but my burner still wants to write at a very slow speed when normaly it is at 16x,,it is a memorex,,my mad dog seems to be fine all around,,thankyou for any help givin,,
Are you sure it is media specific? I always keep a bunch of the best media for special jobs and as a 'control' if something is wrong. Are you sure the media is 16x?

How did you 'check'? Did you actually run an app that shows what UDMA mode is enabled, rather that just looking in Device Manager?
