sorry again but learning seems to be more complicated than i thought. so here i am decrypting, encoding, shrinking, and burning my dvd collection and thought hey, if i was using DL dvds than i could put two movies onto one disk after taking out the extras thus leaving me with a smaller dvd back up collection. so i went through the hassle of talking to the HP guys online and find out that i have a DL burner. SWEET. so now i am looking for guides on how to use dvdfab5,fixvts,dvdshrink, and imgburn to rip DL and have not come across it yet.
so i assume the dvdfab5 just decrypts the files and i am guessing that i might not have to do anything special there since the free version is always set to dvd9 and i cant switch to dvd5 unless i pay for it. plus i have already used dvd9s on with it.
fixvts i also assume i have nothing to change there being that it has already ran dvd9s through it.
dvdshrink is a problem and whatever i find about it seems to be mumble jumble and i have no clue.
i know how to put more than one movie/chapters on a dvd5 with dvdshrink and then burn it with imgburn. but when it comes to DL i seem to get lost on finding a right answer. everything i find seems to be decryptor this nero that.
oh exactly what is "ISO" is that the copy of the audio/video ts that i save on my hard drive after encoding it with dvdshrink?
another question is on fixvts you open the file then hit full disc but what is with the clean button?
please and thank you for helping me out. i know im a pain.

but when having to perform the setup process for dvd shrink preferences part on the guide i had to select custom and enter in 4350, which i assume the number 4350 has to do with the real size of a 4.7GB disk, thus would we not have to do the similar if it was an 8.5GB disk?
NO, the custom is to reduce the size of the dvd-5 only not a DVD+R DL .4350 would be 4.35 gig. if you are using a DVD+R DL you have to use the dvd-9(8.5GB) setting
There was a guide I saw before that explained (I think) how to burn to a DL disc using imgburn after using DVDFab HD Decrypter. The only guides I can find now are how to burn an ISO file. I thought there was a way to take the folder created by DVDFab and burn directly using Imgburn. If anyone knows where this guide is I'd appreciate it. I searched but no luck. Thanks. :)
Thanks. Neither of those was what I had used before, but I think they could work. The guide I remember explained how to pick a "break point" in the DVD between the first and second layer I guess. I'll try it and see if I can figure it out. Thanks.
